Abstract

This study aims to determine the business prospects of traveling merchants in Sipiongot Market and to find out the overview of Islamic Economics about the business of traveling merchants in Sipiongot Market. This research is a field research conducted at the Sipiongot Market, Dolok District, North Padang Lawas Regency. The source of the data used is the primary data source, namely data obtained directly from the Hutaraja Tinggi District and secondary data sources, namely data obtained from pertinent information. with this study in order to find out how the Islamic Economics review about the business of traveling merchants in the Sipiongot Market. With the method of collecting data by observation and interviews. After the data is collected, the writer analyzes the data using descriptive qualitative.Based on the results of the research conducted, it is found that the prospect of traveling merchants in Sipiongot Market has a pretty good and bright prospect in helping the economy of the people in Sipiongot Market. This is evident, the traveling market traders admit that trading by traveling around is more profitable because of the lack of competitiveness, so that many of the traders survive for decades and in Islam, trading is highly recommended like the traveling traders in this study. This is because the traveling market traders are related to the livelihoods of many people. Being a traveling merchant is one way of working. By working as a trader, it means that you will be able to produce something that can meet your personal and family needs. Islam is also a universal religion, in addition to regulating the issue of worship commands that its people to control trade, as long as the trade does not conflict with the arguments from the verses of the Qur'an and hadith.
